SEMUC CHAMPEY

Semuc Champey means “where the river hides beneath the rocks.” It is one of Guatemala’s most impressive natural destinations, famous for its turquoise pools and the panoramic view from the lookout point. Just 10 minutes away, you’ll find the Kanb’a Caves — an adventure inside a natural cavern where you can swim, walk, climb, and slide through formations shaped by the flow of water.

LANQUIN CAVES
The Lanquín Caves were declared a National Park on May 26, 1955. Inside the cave, you’ll find karst formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, and rock figures that — thanks to the phenomenon of pareidolia — seem to take shape through imagination. The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes, following pathways with stairs and some slippery sections. After 6:00 PM, the lights are turned off to witness the impressive emergence of thousands of bats. The Lanquín River is born inside the cave, offering unique views both at the entrance and in small cenote-like pools within the cavern.
